To be honest, I joined to make a few bucks to offset the cost of this website. You can do the same. All you have to do is join one of these affiliate programs, or go out and find your own affiliate links. There are alot of ways to find affiliate programs. One way is to join an affiliate group, such as LinkShare. LinkShare is a company that runs a directory of affiliate programs. They keep track of everything and they send you a check. Very wide range of affiliate programs to join and they pay when you have $50 of sales. I highly recommend LinkShare. Simply because they send me checks. I make good money from LinkShare. Lets say, your website has alot of content about Horses. You would want to join an affiliate program that will pay you to sell horse supplies. LinkShare may be the way to go, but you may also want to go out and find other affiliate programs that would pay more or be more specific to your keywords. I use a combination of both. LinkShare is great for finding affiliate programs, but I like to look for the niche affiliate program. I have alot of web pages. These pages cover alot of keywords and I'm always looking for an affiliate program for a certain keyword. Take the example keyword of Horses, or Horse. Now lets say you have a website that discusses the proper way to load a horse into a horse trailer, and you want to make a buck or two for all of your work. Go find an affiliate program for horse trailers. If you cannot find an affiliate program for horse trailers, then you create one. This is what I call niche affiliate programs.
